Concise definition of the term securities maintaining entity
A securities maintaining entity is a CSD maintaining reference data for a security in T2S. Generally, the issuer CSD acts as an SME, except when the issuer is outside T2S or the issuer CSD has nominated another CSD to fulfill the role of SME.
