Concise definition of the term Market Abuse Directive
The Market Abuse Directive was a European regulatory framework for addressing situations in which investors had been unreasonably disadvantaged. It had been adopted by the European Commission in 2003, and was replaced by the Market Abuse Regulation in 2016.
