Concise definition of the term Commodity Channel Index
The Commodity Channel Index (CCI) is an indicator in technical analysis that measures the current price level relative to an average price level over a given period of time. CCI is relatively high when the current price is well above the average and vice versa. It is used to indicate whether a security is overbought and oversold.
